William James Adams Jr., known professionally as will.i.am, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer who worked with American recording artist Britney Spears from 2011 to 2013.

In November 2012, will.i.am released the third single from #willpower which was "Scream & Shout" featuring Spears. It debuted in the top 20 on the Billboard 100, eventually reaching a peak of number 3 and debuting at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and reaching number one in January 2013 for two weeks. It went number one in many countries.
Will has recorded a collaboration with Spears, "Big Fat Bass", which features on her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale.
Spears has featured Will on her song "It Should Be Easy" on her eighth studio album, Britney Jean, for which he co-wrote and produced several tracks. He was also an executive producer of the project.
In 2023 he released a fourth collaborative song with Spears titled "MIND YOUR BUSINESS", which was panned by critics and failed to make an effect on domestic or worldwide charts.
In 2024 an alleged snippet of an unreleased song from Britney Jean, "Listen Close", featuring Will, was leaked online.
