In 2012, during a "teaser" video for the judges houses of The X Factor, Spears have been sitting in the studio with American producer Rodney Jerkins, who had previously worked with Spears years ago.[1][2]
In 2013, Jerkins was interviewed about working on American singer Mariah Carey' fourteenth studio album and was asked if he was working with Spears and said "I was working with Britney actually at the end of the year. She had me come on X-Factor show and do something with her, so we’ll see what happens if we get a chance to work together."[3]
It is unknown if one or more songs were recorded in the recording session.
