The song is listed in the ASCAP repertoire, crediting Spears as a co-writer.[1] On October 16, 2020, Wally Gagel comented about their writing session. He stated: "[We] got to work with [her] right after she had gone through some very traumatic personal things. We were secretly holed up at Conway Recording and wrote three songs with her."[2]
