Jonathan Reuven Rotem, better known as J.R. Rotem, is a South African-born American record producer, songwriter and music publisher who has worked on songs with and for American recording artist Britney Spears from 2006 to 2007.

Background[]

Spears and Rotem had a two-week fling in December 2006 that led to a lot of explicit statements about their sex life in 2007, and Kevin Federline deleting Rotem from his MySpace.

According to Rotem, he and Spears "decided for both our careers that it would not be cool to have a romantic relationship."
