In October 2023, Spears stated that she had written a song about a narcissist, though it remains unknown whether the song actually exists. Fans though that her Instagram post referenced to American singer Selena Gomez' 2019 ballad, "Lose You to Love Me", as Spears had made multiple posts mentioning Gomez around the same period.[1][2]
