"Chatter" is a possible unreleased song by American recording artist Britney Spears, intended for her fifth studio album, Blackout. It was written by Spears and Christopher "Notes" Olsen, and produced by Olsen.
Background[]
Spears began working with Olsen between 2006 and 2007, and they had several writing and recording sessions.
The only songs known to have been finished and recorded by Spears are "Rebellion", "Trouble", and a cover song of "I've Been Loving You Too Long", originally performed by Otis Redding.
But there are also more songs that were created, many of which remained in beats that were left unfinished, while others were finished.[1] One of the songs that was finished was "Chatter", along with "Cowboy".
However, It is currently unknown if Spears recorded them or not. When a fan interviewed Notes' sister in 2019, she described the song as "a cool demo" and revealed some of the lyrics.[2]
Lyrics[]
[Teased Lyrics]
You think you know
'Cause it's in the magazine
It must be true
'Cause they ain't talking about you
They build you up
Just to tear you down
They took their best shot
It's my turn now
